Technical Sales Engineer (m/f/d) - Renewable Energy & Electrical Systems

YOUR TASKS

• Act as the technical interface between Global Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and customers, with a strong focus on electrical systems, grid requirements and wind turbine technology
• Support regional sales teams throughout the sales cycle by providing technical expertise, developing customer-specific solutions, and contributing to competitive bids and technical proposals
• Support technical discussions, customer workshops, and complex negotiations with customers, consultants, utilities, and project developers
• Serve as the global expert for selected technical focus areas, particularly within electrical engineering, power systems, grid integration, and renewable energy applications
• Analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical and commercial recommendations that create value for both customers and the business
• Deliver technical training, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and sales support materials to internal and external stakeholders
• Gather and communicate market, customer, and competitor feedback to support product development and continuously improve sales engineering standards, tools, and processes

YOUR PROFILE

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a comparable engineering discipline
• Several years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, application engineering, or technical customer support, ideally within the renewable energy, power generation, or industrial sectors
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, power generation technologies, grid integration, and renewable energy applications, preferably within the wind energy industry
• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer-focused solutions and support commercial decision-making
• Experience interacting with customers, utilities, developers, EPCs, consultants, or other stakeholders within the energy sector
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills in an international and cross-functional environment, combined with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
• Fluent in English; additional German or Spanish language skills and willingness to travel occasionally (<5%) are a plus
