In order to support Airbus we are looking for a
Transportation Manager - Design & Network (d/f/m)
We are seeking a forward-thinking Manager, Transport Design & Excellence to architect the future of Satair’s global transport network. This role is dedicated to strategy, standardization, and the digital transformation of our transportation landscape.
You will not be moving boxes; you will be moving data, designing processes, and setting the standards that our global network follows. Your primary driver is the pursuit of Transport Excellence through the continuous development of our digital landscape and strategic frameworks. You will bridge the gap between logistics operations and innovation, ensuring our transport ecosystem is constantly evolving to become more efficient, data-driven, and future-proof.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Strategic Network Design: You contribute to the continuous development of Satair’s Transport Operating Model. Define global standards and ensure they are harmonized across all regions
Key User & Systems Development: You act as the Key User for our transport system landscape. You will bridge the gap between business needs and IT solutions by translating operational requirements into system enhancements and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Data Analytics & Control Tower Contribution: You support the continuous improvement of our data analytics capabilities and the global Control Tower. You will collaborate with data owners to refine logistics KPIs and provide strategic input for dashboard enhancements, ensuring transparency aligns with future network designs.
Synergy & Innovation Projects: You act as a core contributor to Group-wide synergy programs. In this capacity, you will directly support the Head of Transportation by executing specific work packages, preparing decision papers, and processing arising tasks to ensure the successful implementation of these strategic initiatives.
Process Engineering: You analyze end-to-end transport flows to identify inefficiencies. Lead CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) initiatives using Lean methodologies.
Desired skills and qualifications
A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Informatics or equivalent
5+ years of experience in logistics strategy, solution design, or supply chain analytics.
Digital Fluency: Strong affinity for IT systems. Experience with TMS implementation, requirements engineering, or data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau) is highly desirable. Note: Coding skills are not required, but understanding data logic is essential.
Project Management: Solid experience in leading international projects, ideally with certification
Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the "Big Picture" and translate corporate strategy into actionable logistics standards.
Communication: Fluent in English and German skills (negotiating level). Capable of bridging the gap between operational logistics staff and IT developers.
Proven track record in transportation management and logistics, with experience in both strategic and tactical transportation operations.
You have an analytical and structured way of working with high problem-solving skills.
