RNA modification and 5′ Cap Analysis via Nanopore Sequencing
wanted of the next possible date at the Clinic for Cardiology, Angiology, and Pulmonology.
The landscape of mRNA 5′ cap modifications is more diverse and dynamic than previously appreciated. This project aims to develop and apply a novel chemo-enzymatic method to label and extend the 5′ cap, enabling its detailed analysis through Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT).
Your role will be central in creating and applying bioinformatics and machine learning tools to analyze long-read data and decipher cap-specific signals from raw sequencing output. This project brings together chemical biology, molecular biology, and computational science to achieve direct, single-molecule resolution of RNA cap structures.
