Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of Sandoz Global Development output across all Standard Generics development (in-house only).
- Leads the liaison with the COO/Commercial and STO organisation, operating across all platforms for this purpose.
- Acts as a strong matrix organisational leader, leading the Project Management organization as well as local Project Management groups located in the Sandoz Development Centres covering the Standard Generics pipeline.
- In partnership with the other global development platform heads as part of SGD, assesses, aligns, optimizes and restructures the Project Management organization to optimize collaborative delivery across the value chain from COO through STO and Commercial within the accountable platform, enabling the organisation to be more agile, competitive and fit for future across the different platforms.
- Works closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) within the accountable platform with the objective of ensuring all projects are delivered using a ‘best-practice’ project execution approach within the agreed scope, time, cost and quality, following an efficient platform project governance to ensure fully aligned decision-making with COO/Commercial and STO counterparts.
- Works closely with PMO to track all active projects as part of the platform at aggregated level and escalate/mitigate risks in project success (with special focus on getting ready for day-1-launches) provides consolidated project overview and transparency for main interfaces in and outside SGD.
- Responsible for consolidation of development evaluation, development supported selection, and then allocation of new projects for the platform execution according to capacity and capability of Sandoz Development Centers and other teams.
- Drives in alignment with COO counterpart project prioritization within the platform (across all type pf projects).
- Champions Program Management disciplines and provides the processes, structures and tools for individual Project Management.
- Infuses energy, enthusiasm and ownership within the platform area for and in the Project Management community enhancing their role they play in the overall enterprise.
- Establishes and harmonizes Project Management and (project governance) process framework including interfaces outside Development.
- Provides input to strategic planning processes and global budgeting in SGD in relation to the accountable platform pipeline execution.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent experience Comprehensive Project Management training(s).
- Specific and significant experience in Product Development and Project and Pipeline Management (15+ years).
- 15+ years cross-functional experience in partner organizations (Portfolio, Commercial, etc.).
- Experience in managing R&D projects.
- R&D understanding of the broader ecosystem of Generic Pharma Companies.
- Track record of driving transformational initiatives and strategic turn arounds.
- Proven ability to build networks and drive effective communication and collaborate across a global, matrix organization.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent analytical ability.
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
