We are currently recruiting for an experienced a Quarry Manager to lead the team at our Wollert Quarry in Victoria, approximately a 45 minute drive North of Melbourne.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager Aggregates, this leadership role is a multi-faceted role for someone looking for the next step in their career or looking to apply their existing skills and experience in an important role in a growing and exciting market.
As the Quarry Manager, you will hold direct responsibility for all aspects of the operations focusing on safety, environment, plant, equipment to achieve annual financial targets whilst delivering on customer requirements and execution outcomes.
In your new role, you will be:
Leading and managing people while bringing your team along the journey to successfully achieve goals.
Making business decisions that impact the overall performance of the business, including achieving agreed targets / KPIs, financial planning, budgeting and managing costs within budget.
Managing the day-to-day operations where you are responsible for quarry development, storm water and environmental management, and preventative maintenance schedules.
Focused on continuing our approach to rehabilitation and maintaining our reputation within the industry and community as a responsible and sustainable partner.
Bring a strong safety mindset and manage high risk activities and reduce risk exposure for self and others.
This role is a great fit for you, if:
You are an experienced quarry manager/supervisor with relevant industry qualifications.
An ability to support continuous improvement across the Supply Chain process to establish good performance through insight and innovative planning.
A strong leadership mentality with a demonstrated track record in delivering transformational change within a complex business environment.
The capability to deliver exceptional negotiation and influencing skills when interacting with varying levels of internal and external stakeholders.
You have a safety mindset with a total commitment to risk management and Zero Harm.
You are a team player who can multi-task and make quick effective decisions under pressure.
You have a positive presence in building strong and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
You have a high level of resilience and adaptability to changing situations.
