Samsung SDI Battery Systems is a global technology leader in e-mobility. Together with our customers in the automotive industry, we develop and test innovative battery systems for automotive applications based on state-of-the-art lithium ion technology.
The technology center of Samsung SDI Battery Systems is located in Kalsdorf, Austria, close to Graz. Samsung SDI is a full-service supplier for lithium ion cells, battery modules and battery packs for all electric vehicles as well as all types of hybrid vehicles.
Your core responsibilities are:
- Explore, innovate, and validate cutting-edge technologies that shape the future of mobility
- Bridge visionary concepts with practical implementation, enabling seamless integration into series development projects
- Scout and explore emerging technologies with focus on high-impact potential
- Develop innovative concepts for next-generation battery systems
- Test feasibility through quick iterations, mock-ups and build-fail-learn cycles
- Lead and/or participate in advanced development projects from idea series readiness
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across SCM, Engineering, Marketing and beyond
What you need is:
- Completed technical degree (physics, material sciences, electrical engineering, chemistry, mechatronic, …)
- 3 years work experience in a technical role, preferably in a development or R&D environment
- CAD proficiency is a plus – ideally with CATIA V5
- Hands-on mindset with a strong "build-fail-learn" attitude
- Self-motivated, curious and driven by impact
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in interdisciplinary teams
- German language skills are a plus, but not mandatory
Our offer for you:
With regard to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we offer the following annual gross remuneration (38.5 hours) as a basis for negotiations for this position: EUR 62.000,-
We also offer a market-standard overpayment depending on relevant work experience and qualifications.
