Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is a powerful tool for detecting and investigating molecular structures and opens up a wide range of specialized application areas. Our research group at the Institute for Microstructure Technology (IMT) focuses on the Signal Amplification by Reversible Exchange (SABRE) of biomedically relevant compounds. Temperature control of the sample optimizes the exchange process and helps reach high levels of polarization.

Your tasks:
• SABRE hyperpolarization
• Sample temperature optimization
• NMR measurements of hyperpolarized samples
• Systematic variation and optimization of hyperpolarization conditions
• Data evaluation Desired skills:
• Ability to work independently
• Systematic approach
• Motivated and persistent work ethic
• Proactive and independent thinking
• Bachelor‘s degree in chemistry or related field
• Basic understanding of NMR
• Basic training in handling chemicals
• Good communication skills in English or German (German is a plus but not required) We offer:
• Working up to 37 hours per month (4-month contract, extension possible)
