Our Group
The Loose lab at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) is looking for a highly motivated Master student to join our research on the in vitro reconstitution of signaling networks in the context of pathogen–host interactions. We combine protein biochemistry, fluorescence microscopy, and image analysis to understand how molecular networks assemble and function. More info at https://looselab.ista.ac.at
Your Responsibilities
The successful applicant will work on reconstructing and analyzing minimal signaling systems in vitro, focusing on how host–pathogen interactions can be understood through biochemical reconstitution and quantitative imaging.
Your Profile
- Enrollment in a Master’s program in molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, or related fields at any University.
- Prior experience in protein biochemistry or fluorescence microscopy is an advantage
- Interest in quantitative approaches and image analysis
- Strong motivation to learn new methods and work independently
- Team-oriented and proactive mindset
- Excellent command of English (working language)
