Your role
As a Flex Trainee, your tasks will include:
- Supporting the development of next-generation turbomolecular and vacuum pumps
- Contributing to multidisciplinary engineering projects involving mechanics, mechatronics, electronics and software
- Working on technology topics such as magnetic bearings, electric drives, vacuum technology, digitalization and simulation
- Supporting verification and validation activities in our laboratory environment
- Participating in product improvement and sustaining projects
- Collaborating with Process Development and Operations to understand industrialization and manufacturing requirements
- Supporting cross-functional projects together with Purchasing, Quality and Product Management
- Cooperating with international engineering teams and research partners
- Driving your own improvement, innovation or technology project throughout the graduate program

- Successful Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Industrial Engineering or a comparable discipline
- Strong technical curiosity and enthusiasm for complex engineering systems
- Interest in multidisciplinary technologies combining mechanics, electronics, software and physics
- Initial practical experience through internships, student projects, research work or thesis projects
- Analytical mindset and passion for solving challenging technical problems
- Hands-on mentality and willingness to learn outside your primary field of expertise
- Strong drive to take ownership and continuously improve products, processes and technologies
- Open-minded personality with excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Interest in working in an international environment and collaborating across different functions
- Entrepreneurial thinking and willingness to challenge the status quo
- Ability to work independently and manage your own development path
- Very good written and spoken English skills; German skills are advantageous
