Your tasks

Specific tasks will vary depending on the project but might include some of:

• Designing specific question / sampling protocol etc. (optionally including writing a short proposal to help structure the project)
• Data / sample collection (e.g. pollen pellets, insects, etc.)
• Identification of collected specimens (if applicable)
• Vegetation surveys
• Digitising landscapes in GIS (e.g. cover of agricultural area / oilseed rape / ...) to assess their influence on pollinator health
• Statistical analysis (i.e. choice and execution of sensible methods, likely mixed models or similar)

Your profile

• B.Sc. in an ecology-related field
• Driving license
• Experience in basic statistical analyses (R / Python)

Optional:

• Field work affinity and experience would be ideal
• Knowledge of a relevant pollinator group (depends on specific topic)
• Knowledge of plant species
• Experience in basic GIS tools
• Experience in using identification keys (depends on specific topic)
• Interest in publishing results
