About the Lürssen Foundation

The Lürssen Foundation was established to have a positive impact on education, innovation and society, driving responsible change in the maritime industry and for those in its wider community.

As one of the ways to achieve this goal, it offers a funded scholarship programme that provides the next generation of engineers with access to research, industry mentorship, and the skills needed to drive responsible progress in the maritime industry.

Over six months, scholars gain hands-on experience and work on cutting-edge research projects under expert guidance. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact, develop valuable skills, and take ideas to the next level.

The 2026 scholarship programme will run from 20 April to 7 October.
