You will be building tests, tools and frameworks, utilising AI and ML, to tackle complex problems, propose innovative solutions and scale automation across multiple cross functional teams working on Apple’s cellular products. Join us in delivering the next generation of groundbreaking Apple cellular products. In this role, you will be a key member of our team in Linz, Austria, developing tools for the configuration of our integrated cellular Radio Frequency products, leveraging AI and ML technologies.

Description

You are a self-motivated, energetic individual with excellent interpersonal skills who can effectively collaborate with international teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to bridge software with real-world cellular and wireless applications. Our team builds Radio Frequency configuration and visualisation tools for the development of RF chipsets used in Apple’s cellular products. The ideal candidate will be working with several RF teams on-site and globally to build these tools utilising big data, Artificial Intelligence and machine learning. We have end-to-end responsibility: from gathering requirements, design and architecture and development, to the end product. Our environment is collaborative, creative and fast-paced, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to solve unique challenges. To be successful in this position you need a solid technical foundation, eagerness to learn, attention to detail and for sure the genuine love for programming. You are curious about AI/ML applications, you understand the power of software and are ready to put it all into producing smart solutions every day.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven years experience in software development, preferably working on the development of RF products.
  • Experience with conversational AI technologies and frameworks.
  • Strong object-oriented and functional programming skills: Java, Python.
  • Rust and Swift are a plus.
  • Proven ability to develop high quality software products.
  • Experience working with international teams.
  • Self-starter with an agile mindset.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, analytical and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD.
  • Experience with anomaly detection using AI.
  • Multithreading and parallel processing expertise.
  • Integration, System and End-to-End testing experience.
  • Knowledge of 2G/3G/4G and preferably 5G mobile communication technologies.
  • Understanding of RF systems and RF building blocks.
  • Ability to conduct in-depth design and code reviews.
  • Good requirement gathering skills, breaking down projects into tasks.
  • Experience working on developer-facing tools or automation frameworks.
  • Experience leveraging AI/ML to monitor, detect, and analyze anomalies in high-volume data systems.
  • BSc / MSc / Dipl.-Ing. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent degrees.
  • The minimum salary pursuant to the applicable collective bargaining agreement amounts to €66,676 gross per year for full time employment. Actual salaries are oriented at current market salaries and take your qualifications and experience into account.
