Part-time Student Analyst Corporate Development (20-30%)

Your contribution

In this exciting and dynamic role, you will support Tecan Corporate Development in monitoring and reporting on competitor, industry, and market intelligence for senior management. You will actively contribute to strategy projects and M&A activities across both the Life Science and Partnering divisions. Your ability to analyze data, understand market context, and deliver results under tight deadlines will make a real impact. You’ll report directly to the Director of Corporate Development.

Responsibilities

• Gather and sanitize market intelligence, including complex data on macro trends, market dynamics, competitor landscape, and government/regulatory context
• Publish reports for Senior Management, including monthly Proxy Reports in English
• Contribute to M&A activities and strategic projects, with exposure to due diligence, pre/post-merger integration, financial modelling, and strategic initiatives
• A chance to learn from our Corporate Development team in Männedorf one day per week in combination to your M.Sc. or B.Sc. studies

Your background

• Currently pursuing an M.Sc. or B.Sc in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Informatics, or Life Sciences (with a genuine interest in business)
• Strong quantitative skills (math, statistics, physics, IT, etc.)
• 2nd or 3rd year student, running up to or after B.Sc.
• Initial work experience (e.g., industry practicum with good references) is a plus
• Fluent in English; other languages are an advantage
• Excellent Excel skills

• Honest, ethical, and demonstrating the highest degree of integrity
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Precise and detail-oriented
• Proven track record of success
• Ability to work one day per week in Männedorf, 20-30% workload next to your current studies
