Thanks to our close relationships with industry regulators, our solutions comply with multi-jurisdictional KYC ("Know Your Customer") regulations, allowing customers to process a wide variety of identity documents, and onboard and service consumers from all around the world in different markets and countries.
This position is based in Munich, Germany, with 2-3 days working from the office.
We are migrating our existing Data Warehouse and building a modern, scalable data analytics platform to support our growing business needs. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst who will help shape data-driven decision-making at IDnow by developing data models, defining KPIs, and generating actionable insights that support our daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data models within the data warehouse in close collaboration with the BI team.
- Build and enhance Tableau dashboards and reports that provide clear visibility into key business and operation metrics.
- Work with data engineering to align on dbt models and Snowflake schemas; validate transformations and ensure data lineage for assigned metrics.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Support ad hoc analyses and translate stakeholder questions into actionable, data-driven insights.
- Ensure data quality and maintain thorough, up-to-date documentation.
Preferred experience
- 2+ years of professional experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or in a similar data-focused role.
- Strong SQL skills with experience querying analytic warehouses; hands-on experience with Snowflake is a plus.
- Practical experience building Tableau dashboards (or another BI tool) with a good sense for clarity and user-focused design.
- Familiarity with dbt (models, tests, documentation) or eagerness to learn and work with dbt in production.
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and ELT workflows.
- Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD for analytics is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Fluent English. Additional knowledge of German and/or French will be useful for the position.
