What tasks can you expect?
- Support export control reviews, sanctions screening, transaction assessments, and related risk assessments.
- Assist with export licensing processes, documentation requirements, and communication with regulatory authorities, day to day contact with BAFA (German language).
- Maintain export control records, procedures, work instructions, and compliance documentation.
- Participate in internal audits, compliance assessments, monitoring activities, and investigations.
- Support the preparation and delivery of export control training and awareness programs.
- Contribute to the harmonization, centralization, and strategic development of export control processes across EMEA.
Your Profile
- Previous experience in export control, customs, compliance, legal, logistics, supply chain, engineering, or international business — this would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
- Proactively learning and developing export control expertise through training, practical experience.
- Demonstrating strong analytical skills, sound judgement, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive ownership of new topics.
- Working independently, readiness to travel outside Europe, managing complex matters reliably, and document activities in a clear and structured manner.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, with strong written and spoken English and good written and spoken German skills.
