As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced hardware developer to join our product development team for embedded devices in Munich. Responsibilities
• Analysis and creation of requirements and specifications, and structuring and modeling of control unit systems. • Schematics and PCB design of automotive-grade ECUs including low-power modes and wireless interfaces. • Hardware development of test and production setups for electronic devices designed in-house, mechanical construction of electronics housing, and test adapter parts. • Coordination of system interfaces with customers, internal departments, and external suppliers. • Development of system models (states, activity, use case models, etc.) and participation in system analyses (FMEA, thermal management, etc.) and failure analyses (failures in component testing, vehicle testing, or from customers). • Alignment with and support of qualification responsibly (environmental & electromagnetic compatibility) and supplier steering during the development phase. • Participation in the development of future-oriented truck & bus models.
Requirements
• Completed studies in a technically relevant subject such as electrical engineering, (technical) computer science, mechanical engineering, physics, mathematics, or comparable. • Experience as a hardware developer/system engineer/architect in the automotive industry and in system design for graphics and/or wireless communication devices. • Schematics and/or PCB design experience in a professional setting, ideally using Altium Designer. • In-depth knowledge of automotive communication protocols (e.g., bus systems, diagnostics, ...). • Sound knowledge of development processes in the automotive environment (e.g., ISO 26262 Functional Safety), and basic knowledge of RF engineering and hardware qualification testing. • Strong understanding of system analysis methods and their relationship to development artifacts and phases, and some experience in M-CAD construction (ideally Autodesk Fusion) and 3D printing, is preferable.
