Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT leader to oversee the implementation of technology strategies across its European subsidiaries, including Munich and Zurich, supporting approximately 50 users.
This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on responsibility for local IT operations, data governance, and regulatory compliance across the region. The successful candidate will ensure that global initiatives are effectively executed at the regional level, while aligning with local regulatory requirements, security standards, and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Alignment:
Ensure effective execution of the global IT strategy within the European subsidiary, aligning with regional business priorities. -
IT Risk Management:
Own and manage ICT risk for the region, embedding best practices in governance, monitoring, and reporting. -
Cybersecurity & Compliance:
Partner with the Global Cyber Security and Governance Team to maintain robust security frameworks and ensure compliance with local and international regulations (e.g., DORA, GDPR). -
Data Security & DORA Oversight:
Lead the implementation and monitoring of data protection protocols and compliance with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). -
Vendor Management:
Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and ongoing relationship management with external IT service providers. -
Regional Support:
Ensure operational efficiency across local IT infrastructure for the Munich, Paris, and Zurich offices.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Significant experience in Information Technology, including recent leadership or management roles.
- Working knowledge of the (re)insurance sector,
- A deep understanding of European data regulations, including DORA and GDPR .
- Strong understanding of ICT and cyber risk management practices.
- Experience working with cross-functional and cross-border teams.
- Excellent communication and vendor negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English is required; German and/or French is a strong advantage.
