About the Role
The International Customer Director is responsible for driving the commercial strategy for European buying groups, service alliances, and International Customers. The role operates at a European level and plays a critical leadership role between central commercial teams and local markets.
The ICD defines international customer strategies, ensures pricing and negotiation consistency, and leads selective high‑level negotiations. The role requires strong leadership, deep commercial and industry knowledge, and the ability to manage complexity across diverse customers, countries, and stakeholders.
What Will You Do
Lead the European commercial strategy for buying groups, service alliances, and International Customers.
Define and drive international account strategies aligned with overall business and growth objectives.
Build negotiation mandates and proposals for the Value SteerCo and coordinate cross‑functional planning with central teams.
Cascade negotiation strategies and mandates to local markets and support execution primarily through local teams.
Represent the company in selected high‑level international negotiations.
Ensure pricing consistency and adherence to central pricing and trade guardrails across all markets.
Lead the Service Alliances strategy and develop a strong European network.
Coordinate negotiations across markets, manage escalations, and ensure mandate compliance.
Partner with senior leadership on trade‑offs, risk management, and strategic decision‑making.
Drive strong cross‑functional collaboration and build commercial and negotiation capabilities across the organization.
Lead and develop a small central team and act as a key connector between Central KAMs and Local KAMs.
Who You Are
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
A strategic commercial leader with extensive experience in international key account management, customer strategy, or commercial leadership.
Strong ability to balance short‑term execution with long‑term European growth objectives.
Highly analytical with strong financial and P&L understanding and the ability to drive data‑driven decisions.
An experienced negotiator with a proven track record in complex, multi‑country negotiations.
Skilled in stakeholder management, with the ability to align senior leadership, regional teams, and local markets.
A people leader who can motivate, develop, and collaborate across diverse, cross‑functional teams.
Comfortable operating in complex, ambiguous, and dynamic international environments.
Demonstrates resilience, a growth mindset, and strong personal drive to deliver results.
