The Chair of Infection pathogenesis is offering a hands-on research internship focused on endoparasitic screening and animal health diagnostics in a university-run dairy herd. This short-term research opportunity is ideal for agricultural bioscience students with an interest in veterinary diagnostics, parasitology, and herd health management.
Key Objectives: • Conduct endoparasitic screening of dairy cattle at the Veitshof using flotation techniques (mini-FLOTAC) • Collect and analyze additional animal health parameters • Support advanced diagnostic procedures including PCR and ELISA (if applicable) • Evaluate the impact of parasitic burden on overall herd health
Your Profile: • Agricultural bioscience student with interest in parasitology, diagnostics, and livestock health • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently • Good communication skills in English (German is a plus)
Start Date: September 2025 Duration: 6 weeks
