What you will enjoy doing - As Lead Machine Learning Engineer, you will
be working in the Global Artificial Intelligence team, Linde's corporate
division engaged with real business challenges and opportunities in
multiple countries
- Your focus in this role is to support the AI team with
extending existing and building new AI products for a vast amount of uses
cases across Linde’s business and value chain while collaborating across
diverse business and corporate functions within international teams -
comprising data scientists, data and software engineers, commercial and
adoption managers from Linde’s Global AI team, and a wide range of
professionals across the broader organization
- You will architect, design and lead the
development, training, testing and deployment of machine learning systems
across diverse domains and technologies such as large language models
(LLMs), computer vision, and structured or sequential data
- Part of your responsibility will be also
driving innovation, experimenting with and evaluating of novel deep
learning technologies such as self-supervised learning, generative AI, and
multimodal models, and bring successful prototypes into production
- You will define and implement scalable
MLOps infrastructure to enable reproducibility, automation and continuous
delivery of ML solutions across the company’s AI products
- Furthermore, you are acting as functional
lead to guide replication, mentor peers, steer high-impact programs across
the enterprise, fostering best practices in machine learning engineering,
with a large focus on generative AI and LLMs
What makes you great - You have a Master’s degree or higher in
Computer Science or related field, with relevant industry experience
- You possess deep expertise in machine
learning and deep learning, with a track record of building and deploying
models into production at scale, including knowledge of the relevant
ecosystems
- In addition, you are proficient in deep
learning frameworks (PyTorch, JAX) and have experience with modern
architectures
- Strong software engineering skills,
including backend development (Python, FastAPI), advanced knowledge of
OOP, design patterns, algorithms, data structures and version control
systems round off your profile.
- You have extensive experience with MLOps
and cloud platforms, especially Azure, and are fluent with Docker and
CI/CD
- Fluent English is required, an additional
language is a plus
