Job Description
- Responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing pricing strategies and processes across small-scaled products and markets to drive revenue, profit margin, and competitive advantage.
- Improves the pricing landscape in cooperation with the Business Leads, by adding new features, removing redundant ones, fine-tuning the levers, parameters. Designs and creates pricing algorithms.
- Works closely with the Central Pricing team and Central Bitiba team.
- Ensures the smoothness of daily pricing cycles by designing, implementing and maintaining automated checks of both inputs and outputs. Designs and operates the SQL queries in the background that provide the inputs.
- Runs ad-hoc analyses that explain the impact of past pricing decisions and simulations to evaluate impact of pricing configuration changes.
- Creates and maintains tool documentation (mainly on wiki) to ensure transparency for the end-users.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Economics / Mathematics / Physics / Business Administration
- Understanding of concepts like price elasticity, clustering, scoring, A/B testing
- Strong technical background balanced with commercial acumen
- At least 3 years of work experience in a similar role
- Experience in pricing and online retail is a plus, but not necessary
- Very good SQL skills (preferably Presto SQL and first experience with AWS)
- Knowledge of programming languages, preferably VBA or Python ( Java is a plus)
- Knowledge of BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail
- Shows strong ownership, can-do attitude, good organizational skills
- Team player, treats colleagues with respect
