Aufgaben

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services for managing and delivering complex digital content across multiple environments
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of services, tools, and processes
• Actively contribute to architectural decisions, technical specifications, code reviews, and testing strategies
• Promote best practices in code quality, security, reliability, and deployment automation
• Support the evolution of existing platforms while helping to create and launch new products
• Take ownership of projects of varying size and complexity, coordinating with international teams
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, development processes, and internal tooling
• Help ensure a consistently positive experience for a large and growing user base
• The role requires up to 20% travel (mainly EU)

Qualifikation

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including 6+ years in backend and object-oriented development
• Strong Python expertise with a focus on system design and production-ready code
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Solid knowledge of authentication, authorization, and identity management (OAuth2, SAML, SSO, Entra ID, Auth0, Cognito)
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code and automated deployments (e.g., CDK, CloudFormation)
• Proficiency in Linux, cloud-native and serverless architectures
• Experience designing and operating microservice-based, containerized systems (e.g., Docker)
• Strong understanding of high-availability, scalability, performance, and reliability best practices
