For our client, a deep-tech startup based in Munich, we are seeking a Senior EMC Engineer (m/f/d).

What to expect?

• Provide comprehensive technical consulting to our clients on all matters of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), from the concept and development phase through to successful product approval
• Independently analyze complex electronic systems (PCBs, schematics, mechanical designs, specifications, test plans, and reports) to identify and sustainably mitigate EMC-related risks
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate EMC pre-compliance tests, including deriving concrete optimization measures
• Systematically investigate the root causes of EMC issues and provide technical support for redesigns and product optimizations
• Act as a knowledgeable sparring partner for client development teams regarding design decisions and EMC strategies
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering to continuously enhance our service and performance offerings
• Actively contribute to the development of modern testing methods, measurement concepts, and technical solutions in the EMC domain

What you bring?

• At least 5 years of experience in hardware design, with solid practical knowledge in the development of electronic assemblies.
• Proven experience in EMC testing, pre-compliance measurements, and systematic fault analysis.
• Good understanding of relevant EMC standards and compliance requirements - not necessarily in every detail, but with the willingness to navigate them confidently and solution-oriented.
• Experience in direct technical collaboration with clients, with the ability to understand their perspective and translate complex requirements into practical solutions
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, within a technical environment
• Analytical and innovative mindset, committed to sustainably addressing root causes and critically evaluating established approaches
• High level of personal responsibility and structured working style, combined with team orientation and a shared goal of achieving excellent results
• Excellent command of English
• Structured and independent working approach
• Teamwork and communication skills
