What you do
- Independent development, refinement and live steering of algorithmic bidding strategies for both portfolios (Automotive & Stationary)
- Fully automated execution in Day-Ahead, Intraday and Reserve Markets (FCR, aFRR, mFRR) via proprietary tools, AI and PowerBot
- Continuous position management, SoC optimisation, aggregation/disaggregation and cross-market arbitrage (opportunity-cost optimisation)
- Daily monitoring and adjustment of strategies to market regimes, availability and price signals
- Close collaboration with Quants, Analysts (backtesting, research) and the Tech team (tool deployment in a secure environment)
- Full compliance with all risk limits and REMIT/REMIT-II requirements
- Further expansion of a fully automated trading environment, with manual interventions limited just to clearly defined emergency scenarios and aligned with risk governance processes.
- Active contribution to the continued development of the internal Trading Position Management System
Who you are
- Several years of professional experience as a Trader in the energy sector (BESS / flexibility trading or comparable markets, banks or insurance)
- Deep understanding of option structures, algorithmic trading and multi-market optimisation (e.g. reserve markets, spot)
- Hands-on experience with EPEX, IBEX and execution platforms (Volue, PowerBot or similar)
- Strong quantitative skills (Python, backtesting, data analysis)
- Strong risk awareness and clear P&L ownership
- Independent, proactive and disciplined working style within clear structures and processes
- Very good English skills; German is a plus
