What this role is about
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will work embedded within a product team, taking ownership of the reliability, stability, and scalability of our services.

In this role, you will combine software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and operational ownership. Together with Product, Engineering, and Architecture, you will ensure that our services are observable, resilient, and operated efficiently.

- You ensure that services meet defined SLOs and reliability objectives
- You support product teams in implementing DevOps and Reliability Engineering principles
- You actively participate in incident management and a fairly structured on-call rotation, driving sustainable improvements following incidents
- You enhance CI/CD pipelines and support safe deployments, canary releases, and rollbacks
- You continuously improve our observability landscape, including monitoring, logging, metrics, and tracing
- You contribute to architectural decisions and non-functional requirements to help evolve a resilient and scalable system landscape
This role is a great fit for you if…
- you have several years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar role, ideally operating services in a public cloud environment
- you bring a growth mindset and enjoy continuously improving systems, processes, and ways of working, particularly in areas such as Platform Engineering, Automation, or AI for Operations
- you can translate business and product requirements into technical SLOs, SLIs, and reliability goals
- you enjoy collaborating closely with Product Owners, Architects, Software Engineers, and QA teams to build effective solutions
- you have hands-on experience designing and operating modern cloud infrastructure, including serverless computing, container platforms, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD automation
- you have a solid understanding of networking, load balancing, and database technologies, and feel comfortable working with complex distributed systems
- you have programming experience with languages such as Python, Java, Groovy, or Go and view automation as a core part of modern operations
- you have experience with observability, monitoring, and logging, using relevant tools to analyze and improve system reliability
- you value open communication, knowledge sharing, and collaboration in international teams
- you are willing to participate in a fair and sustainable on-call rotation and share responsibility for service reliability
- you are comfortable working in an English-speaking environment; German is a plus but not required
