Intro
Join Berata’s automotive division to ensure quality for semiconductor components in vehicle systems!
Tasks
- Oversee all supplier-related activities for semiconductor components (e.g., controllers, diodes) across development, SOP, and series production.
- Lead risk assessment, mitigation, and supplier development programs for semiconductor suppliers, ensuring technical maturity and quality.
- Conduct VDA 6.3 audits and manage process approvals to maintain supplier compliance and quality assurance.
- Perform root cause analysis, resolve complex supplier issues, and implement sustainable corrective measures.
- Review and approve APQP/PPAP documentation and support Safe Launch for critical product launches.
- Collaborate with design and hardware teams to integrate quality and technology-specific requirements for electronic and mechatronic components.
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and technical trends in the semiconductor sector to drive continuous improvement and strategic recommendations.
- Engage with supplier leadership to secure executive support and facilitate OEM communication for quality and reliability outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in supplier development, quality engineering, or semiconductor manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor component technologies and supply chain processes.
- Proven ability to lead risk assessment and problem resolution with suppliers.
- Experience conducting supplier audits and managing Safe Launch programs.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills for engaging with supplier executives.
- Proficiency in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Munich North and travel internationally as needed.
