Über diesen Job
Über uns:
We are UKM. We have a clear social mission and, with our focus on healthcare, research, and teaching, we bear a unique responsibility.
We are seeking a motivated PhD student to join our interdisciplinary research team working on multimodal imaging of inflammation and cancer using shape- and size-tunable self assemblies (aza-BODIPYI) as contrast agents. This project is part of the Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) 1450/«Insight - Multiscale imaging of organ-specific inflammation» and aims to develop and apply advanced imaging tools to study immune cell dynamics in murine models of inflammation and cancer.
The University Hospital of Münster is one of the leading hospitals in Germany. Such a position cannot be achieved by size and medical successes alone. The individual commitment counts above all. We need your commitment so that even with little things we can achieve great things for our patients. There are many possibilities open for you so that you may develop with them.
Aufgaben:
- Performing multimodal and multiscale in vitro and in vivo imaging (FRI, PAI/MSOT, MRI) of immune cell behavior using novel nanostructured contrast agents
- Labeling and tracking immune cells in cell culture and murine models of inflammation and cancer
- Conducting histological analysis for validation and correlation of imaging results
- Analyzing imaging data and contributing to the interpretation of immune-related processes
- Participating in the CRC 1450 graduate school and presenting research findings at internal meetings and international conferences
- Part of Research Innovation
Qualifikationen:
- A master's degree in Biology, Biomedical Imaging, Biochemistry, Physics, or a related field
- A strong interest in biomedical imaging, contrast agent development, immune cell tracking, and data analysis
- Experience with imaging techniques or in vivo experimental models is beneficial
- Motivation for scientific work and willingness to contribute to an interdisciplinary team
- Good English communication skills (spoken and written); German skills are advantageous
Wir bieten:
- Exciting Projects
- Professional Development and Training
