Software Developer Bare-Metal and Python (f/m/d)

Develop embedded control software for next-generation lithography systems, with a strong focus on C programming for bare-metal controllers

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development of robust embedded control solutions for highly precise lithography systems in a demanding semiconductor environment
• Contribute to embedded Linux-based software components where required
• Derive sustainable solutions from requirements, runtime behavior, and relevant edge cases, and contribute to architecture and verification decisions
• Support software architecture definition and translate requirements into sustainable technical solutions
• Create and improve test infrastructure for software verification and validation, including Python-based test automation where applicable
• Analyze technical requirements, runtime behavior, and edge cases in close collaboration with an agile, highly specialized development team

YOUR PROFILE:

• Degree in engineering, computer science, control systems, mathematics, physics, or a comparable field
• Strong and recent hands-on experience in professional C software development for bare-metal systems; sound understanding of low-level embedded software concepts, memory management, and hardware-related programming; practical experience in machine-oriented software development, embedded Linux, or real-time environments; initial software architecture experience
• Very good English skills; German skills are an advantage
• Strong analytical skills; structured way of working; clear communication in interdisciplinary teams
• Professional C development for bare-metal systems; low-level embedded software; requirements-based software design and technical decision-making
• Python for test automation; FPGA or VHDL knowledge
