Product Owner (f/m/d)

You feel at home in agile development, have the necessary flair for your team members, and are up for a new position of responsibility? Then become a Product Owner (m/f/d) of one of the new product development teams at dSPACE. You will work on exciting and technologically cutting-edge product development projects, in the areas of control prototyping, Software-In-the-Loop (SIL) simulation, and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) simulation.

In this role, you take ownership of the product vision and backlog, ensuring that the team delivers solutions that meet customer needs and align with strategic goals. You will act as the bridge between product management and technical implementation, guiding priorities to maximize value delivery. You will focus on requirements related to Battery Management Systems (BMS), Vehicle Control Units (VCU), Motor Control Units (MCU), Vehicle Dynamics, Instrument Cluster, and Telematics. Beyond backlog management, you will identify gaps, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvement for validation solutions at both component and system levels. Your Tasks

• You own the product backlog and ensure it maximizes value in alignment with the product vision and business goals
• You analyze, coordinate, and prioritize product features in close collaboration with customers, partners, and the Scrum team
• You translate customer requirements into clear features and acceptance criteria, balancing technical feasibility with business value
• You act as the voice of the customer within the Scrum team, ensuring needs, pain points, and experiences are consistently represented in product decisions
• You apply an innovative approach to identify opportunities that enhance product value and competitiveness
• You engage with stakeholders regularly, managing expectations and incorporating feedback into product development
• You make prioritization trade-offs transparently, balancing short-term needs with long-term product growth
• You collaborate with the team to identify delivery risks and dependencies in the backlog, ensuring they are visible and addressed during planning

Your Qualifications

• You have a B.Tech/M.Tech degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, or Electrical and Electronics Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
• You have extensive experience with agile methodologies and have several years of experience as a Product Owner within the automotive domain and have a SAFe® certification, such as SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or SAFe® Agilist
• You have a good understanding of vehicle systems such as VCU, MCU, BMS, motor, inverter, battery, vehicle dynamics, instrument cluster, and telematics
• You have a good understanding of MATLAB® and Simulink®, and their applications in virtual validation workflows
• You are familiar with Azure® DevOps and Git for version control and CI/CD workflows
• You have strong collaboration skills, ensuring product requirements align with HIL and SIL workflows
• You have a customer-oriented approach and entrepreneurial mindset
• You are an excellent communicator with good presentation skills
