Senior Software Developer (f/m/d)

For our office in Trivandrum, dSPACE is looking for creative and motivated professionals. You will work on exciting and technologically cutting-edge product development projects, in the areas of control prototyping and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) simulation.

We are offering a position as a Senior Software Developer for our product, which is a data management and collaboration tool with a focus on the efficient and automated verification and validation of ECU (electronic control unit) software. As part of the AGILE team, you will take responsibility for implementing product requirements in the form of high-quality software solutions. In doing so, you can expect a variety of exciting, challenging and diverse tasks that you will solve together as a team.

Your Tasks

• You develop and enhance software components self-dependently within an experienced agile team
• You participate actively in agile ceremonies, collaborate with stakeholders and provide technical guidance to the team
• You participate in the development and maintenance of Desktop and cloud-hosted web applications
• You contribute to our DevOps efforts to build, test, and release software faster and more reliable
• You design and optimize database structures and queries
• You ensure software quality through testing, code reviews, and best practices
• You leverage AI-assisted tools and scripting to improve development efficiency
• You independently lead development of new functionalities with stakeholders

Your Qualifications

• You have a B.Tech/M.Tech degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, are eager to learn, and maintain an open-minded attitude toward new technologies
• You have experience in collaborating with stakeholders and leading a team of skilled engineers
• You possess strong software engineering skills with proven experience as a full-stack developer using C# as backend and any frontend technologies (TypeScript / React / Angular)
• You have hands-on experience building desktop applications using WPF along with a solid understanding of client-server architecture and proficient in relational databases (MS SQL Server / PostgreSQL / MySQL)
• You are familiar with agile software development practices and tools such as Azure® DevOps and Git
• You raise concerns over code quality or lacking test cases and fix problems once you see them
• You ideally have experience with AI agentic tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, MCP server), scripting knowledge in Python / PowerShell and exposure to YAML and Azure Pipelines
• You have excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
