Smulders, a leading specialist in the design, manufacture, and assembly of complex steel structures, complements our capabilities with innovative technical solutions. As a Steel Structural Designer (m/f/d), you will support the design and execution of offshore steel structures across different project phases. Your main tasks will include:

• Structural design of offshore steel structures during Basic Design and/or Detail Design phases
• Development of 3D steel models and creation of design drawings
• Preparation of classification drawings in line with applicable standards
• Preparation of production and fabrication drawings
• Consideration of fabrication, welding, and erection aspects in accordance with internal standards
• Application of relevant offshore, steel construction, and classification rules

• Degree or technical qualification in Shipbuilding, Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Steel Construction, or a comparable discipline
• Professional experience in offshore or ship structures
• Experience in Basic Design and/or Detail Design
• Proficiency in CATIA or comparable CAD systems (e.g., AVEVA)
• Knowledge of common standards and classification rules
• Structured, detail-oriented, and quality-focused working style
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
• Fluent English skills required; Good German language skills are an big advantage
