McCarter & English LLP currently seeks an experienced paralegal to support its Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Litigation Practice in the firm’s Philadelphia, PA office. The salary range for this position is $60,000-$85,000 annually, depending on experience.
Essential Duties
Provide support to commercial litigation and bankruptcy attorneys.
Prepare legal documents to meet the various court specifications.
Draft transactional (commercial loan) documents, assist with transactional due diligence and commercial loan closings.
File (electronically or otherwise) UCC financing statements and real estate documents.
File documents via PACER and State Court e-filing systems and paper filings.
Maintain pleading, discovery, and closing files in all assigned matters
Enter time diaries in DTE.
Prepare binders, trial notebooks, exhibits, etc. for hearings and trials.
Related Duties
Prepare documents for service of process as required
Compile and prepare reports and presentations
Document review projects as assigned
Commercial litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure and/or real estate or banking experience optimal.
Pennsylvania notary license is a plus.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skill.
Comprehensive knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Good knowledge of effective proofreading techniques. Comprehensive knowledge of MS office.
Must be able to multi-task in an extremely fast paced environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
