• Maintain continuous oversight of critical elements of the company’s technical infrastructure across all markets.
• Actively seek out issues by learning system patterns and identifying potential problems before they impact the consumer product.
Incident Response & Troubleshooting:
• Monitor automated and end-user incidents, troubleshoot issues remotely, and resolve problems efficiently.
• Provide direct technical support to local market engineers, board operators, network operations teams, digital content providers and managers, and streaming distribution partners.
Streaming Quality & Optimization:
• Assist in configuration, optimization, and performance tuning of production and streaming infrastructure.
Automation & Proactive Monitoring:
• Utilize automated monitoring tools to proactively detect and address potential service interruptions.
• Monitor backup transmission sites and streaming failover systems to ensure redundancy and reliability.
Reporting & Documentation:
• Create and maintain reports on system uptime, equipment failures, backup transmission utilization, and other key performance metrics.
• Maintain detailed logs and documentation of incidents, resolutions, and system changes.
• Prepare reports for performance analysis and management review using tools such as Confluence, Jira, and Zendesk.
Collaboration & Program Development:
• Work closely with engineering, content, product, and digital teams to deploy new technologies, updates, and enhancements.
• Assist in the development, organization, and ongoing improvement of NOC programs and procedures.
• Communicate regularly with local market engineers to ensure alignment with NOC processes and actions taken in their respective markets.
Qualifications
More About You:
Required:
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with various teams and stakeholders.
• Availability for On-Call shift-based work, including weekends and holidays.
• Passion for learning and the ability to quickly absorb new information.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Streaming Protocols (e.g., HLS, RTMP, AAC, MP3).
• Understanding of broadcast workflow, including audio and video systems, networking, and bandwidth management.
• Networking skills, with a working understanding of how network traffic flows. Knowledge of Audio Over IP is a plus.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends.
Preferred:
• Hands-on experience working in a production/on-air environment, handling audio consoles, automation systems like WideOrbit, and audio routing/control interfaces such as SAS or Axia.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Datadog, Zabbix, or similar.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
• Familiarity with Confluence and Jira for documentation and project management.
• Experience with Zendesk ticketing systems for incident management and customer support.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS) and CDN management for optimizing content delivery.
• Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
