Job Title: Buyer II - Commodity Purchasing (f/m/d)
About the Team
This position is part of ZF’s ADAS & HPC business, which is entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation within the advanced automotive technology space. The business unit is planned for divestiture, creating a unique opportunity to help shape the future of next-generation driver assistance and high-performance computing technologies.
What you can look forward to as a Buyer II - Commodity Purchasing (f/m/d):
- Manage and negotiate purchasing price for a software commodity.
- Scope of software: software licensing, software contracts, harmonize with a software global team (AUTOSAR,
- computer vision, OS (operating systems: Android, Linux, QNX), cybersecurity, functional safety.
- Define respective strategy and review sources and bundling opportunities for cost-saving methods and
- opportunities; achieve the target cost established by the business unit for the commodity while adhering to
- established sourcing process.
- Analyze assigned market to prepare and recommend strategic suppliers.
- Support and define the development of and ensure the adherence to part family strategies.
- Strong ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders.
- Participate in continuous improvement programs to promote team efforts.
Your profile as a Buyer II - Commodity Purchasing (f/m/d):
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, IT, Supply Chain Management, Economics or related field.
- 3-5 years of advanced experience in a professional purchasing capacity (i.e. technical/commodity purchasing,
- purchasing project management, purchasing management, etc.).
- Experience with supplier analysis and evaluation (i.e. quality, capacity, cost, etc.).
- Strong background with supplier bidding process and complex negotiations.
- Experience with APQP and/or project management tools and methods.
- Fluent in English.
- Stable employment and attractive work conditions.
