Tasks

As a Junior Manufacturing Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining precision machinery. You will ensure these critical steps are executed with precision to achieve the highest quality standards in sensor production. In addition, you will contribute to other key manufacturing processes, including sensor packaging, soldering sensors, calibration and characterization.

Your role will be essential in delivering high-quality thermo-electrical sensors and other advanced products. You will collaborate with engineers and quality teams to optimize grinding and electroplating techniques, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain strict adherence to safety and production standards.

Tasks:

• Operate various processes such as:

1. Micro drilling machine and automated brushing machine
2. Photolithography in the clean room
3. Electrodeposition in chemical bath
4. Mechanical grinding
5. Chips components chemical cleaning
6. Wafer handling.

• PCB Soldering: Solder printed circuit boards (PCBs) following technical specifications and quality standards.
• Product Packaging: Package sensors and other products according to defined protocols to ensure their protection and compliance with quality requirements.
• Visual Inspection: Examine packaged sensors for any defects or inconsistencies, ensuring they meet specified standards.
• Calibration: Conduct calibration procedures to verify that sensors function correctly and meet required performance standards.
• Measurement & Optical process: Use specialized equipment to enable automated optical inspection of key sensor attributes.
• Collaboration & Troubleshooting: Work closely with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues detected during characterization or other manufacturing steps.
• Ensure input & output control: Perform routine inspections and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to reach defined product quality criteria.
• Maintain equipment and guarantee the availability of consumables.

Requirements

• Experience in manufacturing, laboratory work, or related technical fields (technical degree is a plus).
• Ability to follow systematic processes accurately and efficiently.
• Hands-on skills with machinery and precision equipment (e.g., electroplating, grinding, coating, soldering).
• Experience with chemical processes is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Valid Swiss work permit or EU/EFTA citizenship.
