Join maxon and help drive the digital transformation of our engineering organization. In this internship, you will work at the intersection of engineering, IT, and project management, developing automation solutions that reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and increase efficiency across the product development process.
This full-time internship has a minimum duration of six months and can be based at our headquarters in Sachseln (OW) or our Zurich office, with occasional travel to Sachseln required.

Your area of responsibility
Working closely with Group R&D, the Project Management Office, IT, and Quality, you will automate workflows, connect engineering IT systems, and develop tools that enable engineers and project managers to work more efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilites will include:
Working closely with Group R&D, the Project Management Office, IT, and Quality, you will automate workflows, connect engineering IT systems, and develop tools that enable engineers and project managers to work more efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilites will include:
- Analyze engineering and project management processes and identify opportunities for digitalization and automation.
- Develop and implement automation solutions using Python, Power Apps and maxon APIs to integrate into engineering IT Systems such as ERP, PLM, and project management platforms.
- Design and build user-friendly interfaces for data maintenance, validation, and reporting.
- Automate project management workflows and processes.
This job is exactly right for you, if you...
- are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Digital Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- are passionate about digitalization and automation and have programming experience in Python, Power Apps and ideally knowledge of HTML, APIs, and AI-supported development tools; experience with ERP systems such as SAP or IFS is a plus.
- Can simplify complex processes, think pragmatically, and develop intuitive tools with the user in mind.
- work independently, take ownership of your tasks, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- are fluent in English; German is an advantage.
