Duties
The ACT Team Lead serves as both a clinical supervisor and program leader for a 24-hour, multidisciplinary, culturally and linguistically diverse Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. This role blends hands-on clinical work, staff development, and program oversight to ensure high-quality, evidence-based, community-based care for individuals with complex mental health needs. You will lead a team deeply committed to fidelity to the ACT model and to delivering services with cultural responsiveness and clinical excellence.
As Team Lead, you will foster the ongoing development of staff skills in core ACT evidence-based practices, including but not limited to Illness Management and Recovery (IMR), Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT), Supported Employment (SE), Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and Family Psychoeducation. You will support staff in navigating complex service systems, provide some direct clinical services to clients, and ensure strong clinical decision-making during and after regular business hours.
This role also includes oversight of day-to-day ACT operations, documentation, regulatory compliance, and ethical practice standards. You will help manage program budgets and financial resources, develop and maintain systems that support effective service delivery, and use data and outcomes to inform continuous improvement. In addition, you will cultivate internal and external partnerships, lead program vision and strategy, and recruit, develop, and supervise staff, interns, and volunteers in ways that strengthen team effectiveness and client outcomes.
Job Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required, along with current licensure in Minnesota as a LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LP. Candidates must have a minimum of five years of experience in community mental health, including case management, outreach, therapy, and supervisory and administrative responsibilities, as well as demonstrated experience working with adults with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI). A valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle are required. The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team and possess strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of adult, family, and group therapy modalities and familiarity with community-based resources and service systems. Board-approved clinical supervisor status and DHS Mental Health Approved Supervisor designation are preferred.
