About us – Stadtwerke Solingen GmbH
The Occupational Safety, Health & Environmental Protection department of Stadtwerke Solingen GmbH ensures safe and healthy working conditions throughout the entire company group. We support managers and employees in reliably implementing and further developing legal requirements in their daily work. As an occupational safety specialist, you will make a significant contribution to making occupational safety effective, practical, and easy to understand – from consulting and inspections to training courses.
Your area of responsibility
As an occupational safety specialist, you advise managers and employees on all matters relating to occupational health and safety in accordance with the provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (ASiG) and organize the meetings of the Occupational Safety Committee (ASA).
You conduct safety inspections, document them, and support management in evaluating the results and deriving necessary measures.
You will apply your expertise to the assessment of new or modified work processes, work equipment and organizational procedures, and evaluate them with regard to safety and health protection.
In addition, you will participate in the planning and implementation of occupational health check-ups and work closely with the company's medical team.
Furthermore, you will play an active role in the strategic development of the existing occupational safety and documentation structure. You will develop practical templates and examples, including for risk assessments, work procedures, equipment, and occupational health check-ups.
Your responsibilities are rounded off by creating training materials on the topics covered and conducting the training sessions.
your qualification
You have completed vocational training with additional further education as a technician/master craftsman or a bachelor's degree in the field of safety engineering.
Ideally, you already have the qualifications and experience as a specialist for occupational safety in the field of energy and water supply and/or transport companies.
You are very knowledgeable in the areas of work equipment, design of work processes, personal protective equipment and handling of hazardous substances.
You have excellent analytical and conceptual skills, are resilient, work in a structured and independent manner, and possess strong teamwork and communication skills.
Benefits
Work-life balance: Flexible working hours, flextime (Monday to Friday between 6 am and 20 pm) and 30 days of vacation per year (Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve are additional days off) make this possible.
Attractive remuneration: You will receive remuneration within pay group 9 of the collective agreement for public utilities (if all requirements are met) including 13th salary as well as collectively agreed allowances, anniversary bonuses, profit sharing and an individual performance bonus.
Future planning: A company pension scheme, 100% employer-funded, is a matter of course for us.
Further training: Through a comprehensive range of training courses and individual further training measures, you can develop professionally and personally.
Good connections: Free parking spaces directly behind the house, a bus stop right outside the door, company bike leasing offers and a free Germany ticket for public transport make your commute easier.
Canteen: In our company canteen you can enjoy fresh, healthy and varied cuisine every day.
Health and sports offerings: Various offerings such as health days, sports programs and a fitness room promote your well-being.
Employee discounts: As a Solingen resident and employee of Stadtwerke Solingen GmbH, you receive a special employee rate for electricity and gas.
A family-like environment: Look forward to a future where team spirit, mutual support, and enjoyment of work are highly valued. Team-level activities (e.g., induction days, community events, employee gatherings, company outings) are important to us.
At Solingen's municipal utilities, you can expect not only a secure job, but also a meaningful and future-oriented role. Personal development, responsibility, and shaping the energy transition are all part of our values.
