of the Apple Silicon Technology group, you will collaborate in the design,
creation, and enhancement of our data infrastructure, which underpins the
productization of our semiconductors across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and numerous
other devices.
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to design, develop, and
maintain scalable infrastructure and software systems. The ideal candidate will
bridge the gap between backend engineering and data processing, building robust
services, APIs, and applications that enable our organization to efficiently
process and analyze large-scale datasets.
Description
Within the Productization Data Tools team, you will develop and maintain robust
software systems that power our data infrastructure. You will collaborate
closely with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to build reliable,
high-performing, and scalable solutions. Your responsibilities include designing
system architectures and ensuring quality and maintainability across our
software stack.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services and processing systems
- Parse and process text logs and STDF files
- Develop and optimize database performance and query efficiency
- Implement monitoring and validation frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to productize software solutions
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot infrastructure issues
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in backend engineering or systems development
- Experience in software development, with a focus on scalable systems
- Proficiency in Python programming language
- Experience with Oracle SQL and database design principles
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Experience developing backend APIs using Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django)
- Proficiency in version control systems (Git)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in semiconductor or high-tech research and development (R&D) and manufacturing environments
- Experience with Cassandra NoSQL database
- Experience with data visualization tools and business intelligence platforms
