Student Assistant (m/f/d) for Laboratory Work in Soil Chemistry

Are you looking to gain hands-on lab experience in a real research project? The Institute of Soil Science and Land Evaluation at the University of Hohenheim is offering a position for a student assistant (HiWi) to support practical lab work in a PhD project.

Your tasks:

• Handling and weighing soil samples
• Measuring pH of soil suspensions (training provided)
• Performing basic chemical extractions (after training)
• Supporting lab organization (e.g., cleaning tools, labeling samples)
• Entering and formatting lab data (e.g., in Excel)

You are a good fit if you:

• Have some basic lab experience (from a course or internship)
• Are careful, motivated, and willing to learn
• Can follow lab instructions and work independently after some training
• Speak English well and have basic understanding of German

We offer:

• Flexible working hours (20 hours/month)
• Insight into real research in environmental science
