As a Thesis student in the Charging Interfaces Team, you'll have the unique opportunity to contribute to our mission of revolutionizing electric vehicle (EV) charging. Your focus will be on investigating and implementing a charge communication controller as a software component, a key element in our software-defined vehicle platform. This role offers an immersive experience, allowing you to delve into the cutting-edge world of EV technology and make a tangible impact on our sustainable mobility initiatives.
- Propose innovative methods to abstract EVCC functionality, transforming it from a hardware-dependent system to a flexible software component.
- Collaborate closely with our internal and external engineering partners to implement and integrate the software component into a rapid prototyping environment.
- Analyze and compare the performance and feasibility of different communication protocols, such as CAN-FD and Ethernet, for EV charging applications.
- Evaluate the cost implications and benefits of implementing EVCC as a software component, considering factors such as hardware savings, development efforts, and future scalability.
- Present your work to the team and key stakeholders, sharing your insights and recommendations.
- Document your journey throughout the thesis project, detailing your methodologies, findings, and results, ensuring a comprehensive record of your contributions
