About OD-OS

Our mission is to protect the eyesight of patients with retinal diseases. For this purpose, the international team of OD-OS has been working closely with physicians and clinical experts worldwide for more than 10 years. Our unique navigated laser therapy system Navilas® sets a new standard for retinal treatment.

Start date: immediately 

Duration: initially 3 months, with the option to extend  

Working hours: Full-time 

Location: 100% on-site preferred; after an 8-week induction period, remote work is possible for one day every two weeks

You are accountable for the specification, development, maintenance, and verification of software solutions for medical devices. Your field of activity is the development of software feasibility studies, design and implementation of software solutions, as well as documentation. Furthermore, your role includes system integration in cooperation with our clinical-, product design-, optics- and hardware team. 

Together with the team, you will supervise the transition of our software solutions until deployment to production and beyond to our global customers and patients globally. 

• Professional experience of 5+ years in programming of embedded systems
• Excellent knowledge of object-oriented programming (especially C++) and time critical image processing with CUDA
• Solid experience with Linux administration, including real-time kernel usage, multithreading and profiling for computer vision
• A quality-focused way of working with attention to detail, team spirit and excellent communication skills in an agile development environment
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written. German proficiency is a plus
• would be the icing on the cake: lead experience for setup and optimization of GitLab CI/CD pipelines, improving build efficiency and automation across development workflows
