Teaching Assistant - SEN School Location: Staffordshire (Newton Solney area, Burton-on-Trent) Hours: Term time only

• Full-time: 5 days per week

• Part-time: 2, 3 or 4 days per week

• Hours: 8:15am - 4:15pm

This SEN School specialises in supporting young people with autism, speech and language disorders, and moderate to severe learning difficulties , including associated behavioural needs. The school provides person-centred care and education , helping students develop independence and achieve positive outcomes.

The school offers excellent facilities , including access to outdoor learning opportunities, and is supported by a dedicated, experienced staff team committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

We are seeking caring, resilient, and motivated Teaching Assistants to support the smooth running of the school day. Responsibilities include:

• Supporting pupils' learning, development, and emotional wellbeing

• Monitoring and evaluating progress, encouraging and celebrating personal achievements

• Providing direct teaching support when required

• Supporting pupils during challenging situations using positive behaviour strategies

• Assisting with personal care where required

• Promoting a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment

• A passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant

• A relevant qualification in teaching and learning

• Experience working with SLD is preferred / desirable

• A calm, patient, and resilient approach

• A strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
