Your Duties:

• In this role, you will develop, assess, and implement analytical and microbiological testing strategies to ensure product quality and safety and support informed CMC decisions throughout the development process
• As a scientific expert, you will contribute to the strategic direction of CMC subteams and help ensure the timely delivery of high-quality analytical and microbiological results
• You will evaluate, validate, and implement alternative, innovative, rapid, and automated microbiological methods, including AI-based tools for the optimization of testing processes and data evaluation
• In addition, you will lead or contribute to technology, innovation, and continuous improvement projects aimed at strengthening analytical and microbiological capabilities within a GMP-regulated environment
• You will assess scientific results, prepare accurate reports and documentation, and support regulatory submissions where required
• Close collaboration with internal and external partners will allow you to ensure scientific alignment and promote an effective exchange of knowledge

Your Qualifications:

• For this position, you hold a PhD in Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related Life Science discipline, preferably combined with relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Alternatively, you have a Master’s degree and substantial professional experience in an industrial environment
• You bring a strong background in biological drug development, quality control, and microbiological product safety, including experience in preparing or contributing to regulatory documentation
• In-depth knowledge of analytical methods such as HPLC-SEC, HPLC-CEX, CGE, CZE, icIEF, and potency assays forms an important part of your profile
• You are also familiar with microbiological testing methods, including sterility testing, bioburden determination, and endotoxin testing
• Working in a GMP-regulated environment is familiar to you, and you understand the importance of consistently meeting applicable regulatory standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills help you approach complex scientific topics in a structured and solution-oriented manner
• You communicate and present scientific content confidently and enjoy working collaboratively in cross-functional and international teams
• Fluency in English is required, while German language skills would be an advantagesubmissions where required
• Close collaboration with internal and external partners will allow you to ensure scientific alignment and promote an effective exchange of knowledge
