Buhler Group in MAI region is looking for an experienced and passionate professional to join the team as Service Skills Development Manager for Middle East, Africa and India region. In this role you would be responsible to be the driving force behind the advancement of technical skills, customer service proficiency, and overall expertise of our Field Service Engineers. The role involves strategic planning, program development, and collaboration with various stakeholders to elevate the capabilities of our field service team. The position is open to be based at any of the locations of our application centers; African Milling School in Nairobi, Kenya; Grain Processing Innovation Center in Kano, Nigeria; Cocoa Competence Center in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire; or International Rice Milling Academy in Bengaluru, India.
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the skill development of Field Service Engineers aligned with business objectives.
- Identify key areas for improvement and create action plans to address skill gaps.
- Lead the design and implementation of skill development programs, covering technical competencies, customer service excellence, and industry-specific knowledge.
- Facilitate mentorship programs and provide ongoing coaching to Field Service Engineers for continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Establish performance metrics and evaluation mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of skill development initiatives.
- Collaborate with the HR, Training Managers, Operations and the Business Academies to ensure alignment of skill development initiatives with organizational goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the relevant field.
- Proven experience in leading skill development programs for field service or technical roles.
- In-depth knowledge of Buhler technologies and equipment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyse training needs and design targeted skill development programs.
