PhD Student for Experiments with Dense Coulomb Clouds

Your tasks

Set up a spectrometer to measure coherent radiation emitted by electron beams
Measure the dependence of the spectrum on the accelerator set-up
Use this experimental data, in conjunction with numerical models, to understand the interactions in dense coulomb clouds
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers
Present the results at conferences and workshops, and prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications

Your profile

Master’s degree in physics or engineering
Strong experimental skills
Knowledge of accelerator physics is an additional benefit
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication and writing skills
