This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

A healthcare pioneer and the industry’s global leader in in-vitro diagnostics, the Diagnostics Division pushes boundaries and challenges the status quo to redefine what’s possible. Our commitment to research and development means we can bring to the market integrated solutions in diagnostic testing, laboratory efficiency, healthcare digitalization and decision support tools and software. Our products deliver increasingly precise information to help save lives, prevent or control the risk of infection and monitor treatment effectiveness.

The Opportunity:

At Sensor and Reagent Development BGE , we are at the forefront of innovation in the healthcare industry. Banking on the technical expertise and know-how of our skilled and dedicated team of scientists and engineers, we design and develop sensors and reagents for blood gas and electrolyte (BGE) analyzers. Our products are essential for accurate and reliable patient diagnostics, impacting lives every day.

  • Support Process Development: Collaborate with R&D and operations teams to develop and refine sensor production processes by advancing testing and release methods.

  • Conduct self-sufficient experiments and testing series using both commercially available and custom-made instrumentation.

  • Independently execute experiments and test series employing both commercial and custom-designed instrumentation.

  • Data Analysis and Follow-Up: Execute independent data analysis and generate actionable follow-up activities based on the analysis results. Develop insights and results that contribute to informed decisions throughout the development process.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of development activities to document actions taken and enhance technical understanding.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth design transfer and address any technical challenges.
