PhD Student in Optical and Electrical Measurements of Quantum Devices

Your tasks

  • Conceptualisation and design of state-of-the-art quantum nanostructures and devices, based on Rydberg states in silicon, within a team of scientists and students
  • Characterisation of these nanostructures and devices using optical and electrical transport methods at cryogenic temperatures
  • Publication and presentation of high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences

Your profile

  • You have a master’s degree in physical science or engineering, with a focus on quantum mechanics and/or condensed matter physics
  • You have a keen interest in experimental research in quantum technologies and nanoscience
  • You are a highly motivated team player with good communication skills
  • Experience in some of the following fields will be of advantage: quantum science and engineering, transport measurements and optics
