What You’ll Build

The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship; it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.

Position title: SAP iXp Intern (f/m/d) – Cloud-native Application Development
Location: Walldorf / Germany

As an intern, you will have the chance to work within our development team in the conception, definition, design, development, test, deployment, and operation of software to build innovative applications automating the financial closing process. This comprises the entire lifecycle from first feature concepts and prototypes to provision of cloud solutions for customers. It is part of the journey to deep dive into both technical and business challenges.

Responsibilities also include the following:

• Full stack development including frontend and backend on the SAP Business Technology Platform using the SAP Cloud Application Programming model with Node.js and SAPUI5
• Apply AI tools in the development process.
• Provide automated tests as part of our continuous feature delivery approach
• Analyze customer problems and provide corrections

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who takes the initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences Preferred fields of study: Computer Science / Informatics, Software Engineering, Data Sciences or any other field with a strong IT background
• Computer skills: Software development experience (preferably JavaScript / node.js, SQL); design, development and operations of Cloud applications, agile development processes, are regarded as a plus
• Language skills: Fluent in English, German as a plus
• Soft skills: Team player, curiosity about product development and quick learner, self-driven and creative
• Others: interest in solving customers’ problems with IT
• Working from Walldorf/St. Leon-Rot office is required. If you are applying from outside the area, please mention your relocation plans or preferences in your CV (Relocation costs are not reimbursed by the manager/employer)
