Full-Time Fixed-Term Contract April Start

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Welling is seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team full-time from April on a fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HLTA who is passionate about supporting pupil progress and contributing meaningfully to classroom learning across the school.

The Role

• Work closely with class teachers to support teaching and learning, while also leading whole-class sessions where required.
• Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher

• Supporting small groups and individual pupils to accelerate progress
• Assisting with planning and preparation of learning activities
• Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs
• Contributing to assessment and pupil progress tracking

Requirements

Applicants should:

• Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience
• Have experience working within a primary school setting
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
• Have GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) or recognised equivalents
• Be confident leading whole-class learning
